Of all my friends, I am one of the only ones who does art and pursues it as a career. They look at my stuff and often say “I wish I could draw” or “I can’t draw like that.” I think about these remarks a lot and think about when I was younger and tried to draw.
These drawings are from when I was around 12 or 14, trying my absolute hardest. I remember feeling so proud and creative when I drew these and I saved them. Now that I have had much more practice, I’m certain I could redraw these to be 10 times better. But that can only happen because of the time and practice I’ve put into this. That being said, I believe from experience that anyone can become great at art. Art does not come naturally to most everyone. It is a blend between technique and creativity and the more you exercise it, the better you get.
